How I spent my Good Friday...
Well, the other night, I was so sad, I couldn’t cry, so I drew England in the rain.
And Friday, wanting something to do, I decided to paint him on Sai.
— I don’t know if painting over photographs is a standard procedure, but what can you do, without a scanner??
Hmm. I gave up halfway through — about noon — thinking, “But I don’t know how to color rain?!” So I had that middle shot; just gonna post it as a work-in-progress, without ever finishing it.
But later in the evening, I sat my ass down, and said, “All right. You can’t paint rain?? Too bad, Crybaby. Paint it anyway.”
Finished. Got rid of the vintage filter used on my phone (for that mid-way quitters shot) in favor of a blue filter, for the final, cropped pic, I’ll post next.
And by the way, Happy Easter! I hope you all have a safe holiday!! :)
I am really determined to ditch homework, yes.
I’ve always thought Norway’s emotions as well as other deadpan characters’ are the most difficult. Because they’re subtle.
Too bad I’m not an artist delicate enough to portray them.
And yes, ‘the extreme’ should have included happiness, but for some reason I can’t draw a Happy Norway that doesn’t look drunk.
So I’ll leave it here, because my thumb hurts.
